Power purchase transactions require a comprehensive procurement process as well as a thorough controlling process after the closing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
This joint workshop in cooperation with the cleantech startup FlexiDAO gives participants deep insights on how to best handle such power purchase transactions. The two companies have developed their proper software solutions that together cover the entire value chain of power purchase transactions from procurement through monitoring.
These are the key contents:
Part 1: Think RE will introduce its RE WAVE software, which supports users in their PPA sourcing process.  In particular, participants will learn how to use the free online tool, called Impact Analysis, which enables them to identify the countries qualified for closing PPAs, and provides them electricity price forecasts as well as PPA price levels from a database of more than 32 countries.
In part 2, FlexiDAO will showcase its PPA monitoring software solution, which allows electricity buyers and sellers to access near real-time data on the green energy exchange. Attendees of the workshop will also learn how to aggregate the main KPIs and return of investment scenarios of their PPAs, which enables them to successfully communicate their renewable energy achievements.

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are a powerful tool to reduce an organization's carbon footprint. PPAs also play a key role in implementing a company's sustainability goals with regards to the new EU Taxonomy directive.
In this workshop, attendees will first gain in-depth knowledge of the EU Taxonomy directive, and the thresholds imposed on the various industries.
Secondly, we will introduce you to Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emission management and make you familiar with the main instruments to reduce these emissions to meet the EU taxonomy requirements.
Thirdly, participants will be guided through the most important sustainability instruments to fulfill the EU Taxonomy directive, with a major focus on Power Purchase Agreements. This will include insights into the structure of PPAs, the PPA sourcing process, risk mitigation and heding potential.
